TECHNICAL DETAILS OF FLIR SYSTEM ULTRA MEDIA II (SD)
The ULTRA MEDIA II sets a new performance standard for gyro-stabilized aerial camera systems. Image stability for superior to conventional aerial cameras is provided by a 5-axis gyro-stabilized design. Images remain steady, even in tightly banked turns. This advanced gyro system cannot be unseated by extreme aircraft maneuvres. Due to active directional control it has a picture stability of +/- 0,5 pixel at a longest focal length.
Stabilization: 5-axis gyro-stabilization
Advanced performance: Subtle video imaging through a variety of detail effects. Selectable aspect ratio of 16:9 or 4:3.
The BVP-570 is capable of stable operation over long periods and extreme temperature.
Incorporating new-generation-VLSI-based ADSP and 12-bit AD conversion, the BVP-570 provides higher picture quality (enhanced S/N ratio and dynamic range) and a host of functions that deliver the sharpest image detail possible. All video signal processing following AD conversion is entirely digital, using 32-bit quantization and a sampling rate of 36 MHz. As a result, a digititalization rate of some 80% is attained, while maintaining high picture quality.
